I just want to say what an amazing job the hardworking Crisis Resolution and Home treatment (CRHT) team do. For those that don’t know – they provide 24 hour, 7 day a week service to adults with a mental illness in an acute crisis. It is a shame that with the recent closure of a busy adult mental health ward in my local area, the service will be put under even more pressure to keep mentally ill patients in the community and out of hospital (due to the dramatic reduction in the number of beds available). I was just as shocked to learn that a local Labour MP didn’t even know it had closed!
